The Tucker No Hole fastening solution utilizes a drawn arc welded stud to a component that then enables fastening utilizing a plastic clip or threaded nut, whatever best works for the application. This fastening solution provides superior performance to punching/stamping a hole in a component and then fastening to that hole with regard to Sealing, NVH (Noise Vibration Harshness) and often ergonomics. The Drawn Arc welding process itself is superior to many other welding processes as it only requires accessibility to one side of the component and has the required Reliability and Repeatability to be used in Automated systems often using robots.
